Collection: Dickies Pants

Dickies pants have been workwear staples for generations, but skateboarding, hip hop and street culture gave them a second life.

At Ballistyx, we stock the styles that make the most sense on and off a board: the iconic 874 Original Work Pant and the roomier 85-283 Loose Fit Double Knee.

The 874 is the classic. Clean, tough and easy to wear your own way. The Double Knee brings more room through the leg, reinforced knees and a baggier workwear silhouette straight out of skate culture.

If you’re not sure which way to go, start with the fit you want rather than the number on the tag. Our product pages break down how each style wears, how they soften over time and when sizing up makes sense.

Why Dickies Pants?

Dickies has been making workwear since 1922, but the reason the pants still matter goes well beyond the job site.

The 874 has been part of skateboarding, hip hop and street culture for decades, while the Double Knee has become a go-to for skaters chasing more room and extra durability.

We like them because they do what good skate pants should do: move properly, take some punishment and get better once they’ve been worn in.

Fresh Dickies can feel pretty stiff. Some people want that crisp, pressed workwear look straight off the rack. Others wash them a few times and let the twill relax before they really settle in. Neither is wrong.

The bigger question is how you want them to fit.

The 874 is the cleaner, more traditional silhouette. Wear your regular size higher at the waist, or size up if you want them sitting lower and looser. The Double Knee already starts roomier, so you don’t need to oversize it just to get a relaxed skate fit.
