Collection: Backcountry Gear

Heading beyond the resort boundary means carrying the right equipment and knowing how to use it. Our Backcountry Gear collection covers essential snow safety and travel equipment including avalanche beacons, shovels and probes, snowshoes and compact emergency bivys.

Beacon, shovel and probe form the core of an avalanche rescue kit, while snowshoes provide another way to move through deep snow away from lifts and maintained terrain. Emergency bivys add a compact layer of protection for unexpected stops or changing conditions. This is equipment you hope you never need in an emergency, but gear that needs to be dependable, familiar and ready to use when it matters.

Backcountry equipment is only one part of travelling safely beyond controlled terrain, so proper avalanche education, trip planning and regular practice with your rescue gear are essential. For the rest of your setup, explore our wider snowboarding range, or check out our snow protection collection for impact protection closer to the resort.
