The 2027 YES Pick Your Line is a purpose-built freeride snowboard designed for riders who want confidence when the terrain gets steeper, deeper and more technical. Built around a powerful directional shape, the PYL is made for drawing clean lines through natural terrain, handling speed with composure and staying predictable when conditions become challenging. Itβs a freeride board for riders who enjoy strong turns, steep faces and hunting for the best snow on the mountain.
On snow the PYL feels stable, controlled and highly responsive. The camber-dominant Hybrid Positive profile provides the grip and drive needed to carve confidently and hold an edge on firmer snow, while the rocker in the nose helps the board rise naturally in powder. The tapered UnderBite outline improves edge engagement through turns while maintaining float in softer snow, giving the board a directional feel that encourages powerful, committed riding.

Key Features
Terrain Type β Powder / Carving
Designed for riders chasing soft snow and steep terrain while maintaining strong edge control when conditions firm up.
Shape β Directional
A directional outline that improves float in powder and adds stability when riding faster or committing to longer freeride turns.
Profile β Hybrid Positive
The CamRock 1-4-1 profile places a strong camber section through the centre of the board for edge hold and drive, with subtle rocker zones at the tips helping the board initiate turns smoothly and float in softer snow.
Flex β Mid-Stiff 7/10
A supportive flex that keeps the board stable at speed while maintaining enough responsiveness for controlled freeride turns.
Tech Features
-
Tapered UnderBite Edge Technology
YESβs Tapered UnderBite sidecut redistributes pressure along the edge by pulling the sidecut inward under the bindings while allowing the nose and tail to remain wider. This improves edge hold and control while helping the board maintain natural float in powder. -
Fluid Core
The Fluid Core uses a lightweight wood construction designed to deliver smooth flex and consistent response. It provides a balance of durability, stability, and lively energy return for freeride conditions. -
Biax Fiberglass
Biax fiberglass creates a more predictable and forgiving torsional flex pattern. This keeps the board responsive while maintaining control when transitioning between turns or riding uneven terrain. -
Freestyle I Carbon
Carbon reinforcement is integrated into the layup to improve energy transfer and increase snap without dramatically increasing stiffness. This keeps the board lively while maintaining stability at speed. -
Sintered Base
A high-density sintered base built for durability and speed. It absorbs wax efficiently and maintains glide across a wide range of snow conditions.

About YES
YES Snowboards was founded in 2009 by professional snowboarders DCP, Romain De Marchi, and JP Solberg. The trio created the brand to bring snowboard design back to rider-driven innovation, focusing on performance shapes and meaningful technology rather than marketing trends.
Since its launch, YES has developed several shaping concepts that have become core to the brandβs identity, including UnderBite and MidBite edge technology. These designs manipulate how pressure is applied along the snowboard edge, improving grip, carving performance, and control across different terrain types.
The Pick Your Line is one of the most established boards in the YES lineup and is closely associated with co-founder David Carrier Porcheron (DCP). Designed around his approach to freeriding, the PYL has built a reputation as a powerful directional board built for steep terrain, fast lines, and deep snow.
