Rowan Zorilla’s (@rowan.zorilla) second pro shoe takes everything that made the original Rowan stand out and sharpens it. The Rowan 2 pulls in cues from vintage court shoes, then layers in Vans’ newest tech to keep up with Rowan’s loose, unpredictable style. The result is a shoe that feels classic on the outside but hits far above its weight on cushioning, boardfeel and durability.
Under your feet, Vans pushes ImpactWaffle further into the forefoot so the shoe absorbs heavy landings without muting the deck. The SickStick cupsole runs a zoned tread pattern up front for grip and board control, with a reversed waffle heel to keep things locked in on impact. Uppers get reinforced Duracap in high-wear zones, and the midsole stacks a new high-rebound sockliner for a bit more comfort on long days. It’s a smooth balance of old-school shape and modern tech, giving you solid protection up front with consistent grip and control through the heel.
