Automatic entry is the headline, but this binding is built to be ridden hard, not babied. The Lightning Supermatic is an all mountain binding designed for riders who want fast, repeatable entry without stepping away from the support and control of a traditional setup. A medium stiff flex and stable platform make it well suited to intermediate and advanced riders running responsive boards and riding with intent, whether that means stacking laps, chasing terrain, or simply keeping things moving from top to bottom.
The Lightning Supermatic is built around Bent Metalβs Supermatic automatic system, allowing rear entry while retaining a traditional two strap interface for riding. A solid asymmetric highback provides lateral support for edge control, paired with a canted footbed and integrated heel shock pad to manage impact and reduce fatigue over variable terrain. An oversized UHMW slip plate creates a low friction surface for entry and exit, while the Auto Chassis and offset multi disk support a wide range of boot shapes and stance adjustments. Forward lean is adjusted via the Revolutionary Cube, offering tool free changes in fixed increments with urethane dampening built into the system.

About Bent Metal Binding Works
Bent Metal Binding Works is a snowboard binding brand born out of Mervin Manufacturing, the company behind Lib Tech and GNU. Founded in the mid-2000s by engineers and lifelong snowboarders, Bent Metal was created with a singular focus on bindings as a performance-critical part of a snowboard setup, not an afterthought. Every product is designed and tested with real riding in mind, backed by decades of experience in snowboard manufacturing and culture.
Known for its no-nonsense approach, Bent Metal blends functional design with deep ties to core snowboarding through long-standing relationships with riders, artists, and Mervinβs competition heritage. The result is a binding line built to last, built to be ridden hard, and built by people who understand how snowboard equipment actually gets used on the hill.
