The 2026 Bent Metal Anvil is built for riders who like to keep hammering. Park laps, side hits, street-style take-offs, chopped-up resort lines, repeat. Sitting around that medium-flex zone, it has the freestyle freedom to tweak, press and move naturally over the board, but still brings enough backbone to load up take-offs, stomp landings and ride the whole mountain with purpose.

True to its name, the Anvil is made to take a beating and keep firing back. Bent Metal’s 6/10 Drive Plate gives it a lively, responsive feel underfoot, while the lightweight highback, canted footbed and vibration-dampening Uni-Body chassis help smooth out impact when the landings get heavy or the snow gets rough. It is freestyle-focused, but not flimsy; a durable, energetic binding for riders who want to keep swinging lap after lap.

Tech Features

  • Flex Control Drive Plate: Bent Metal’s signature underfoot platform, built to create tuned flex, response and energy transfer through the binding.
  • Magnesium Fibre Drive Plate: 6/10 medium-flex drive plate built with magnesium fibre, UHMW core and an eco-sublimated top sheet for increased response across mixed conditions.
  • Fibreglass Footbed Panels: Footbed panels create more refined flex patterns and help the binding respond more like the snowboard underneath it.
  • UHMW Core: Durable Ultra High Molecular Weight core material inside the drive plate for consistent strength and energy transfer.
  • Eco-Sublimated Top Sheet: Lower-impact top sheet process used on the drive plate graphics.
  • Cored X-Frame Highback: Lightweight, aggressively cored highback with a broad asymmetric shape for freestyle movement and responsive support.
  • Performance Polymer Nylon Highback: Medium 5/10 flex highback material designed for a balance of mobility, durability and response.
  • The Cube Forward Lean Adjuster: Tool-free forward lean adjustment with four settings: 10Β°, 14Β°, 18Β° and 22Β°.
  • Dual Durometer Urethane Dampening: Built into The Cube system to help absorb vibration through the highback.
  • Dual Band Ankle Strap: Soft asymmetric ankle strap with a cored compression window, narrowed medial side for mobility and more supportive lateral side for landing support.
  • Grip Form Toe Strap: Toe strap with a secondary flexible panel that forms over the boot for secure hold and efficient response.
  • Forged Aluminium Buckles: Hardened aluminium buckles for strength, low weight, and smooth entry and release.
  • Uni-Body Chassis: One-piece polymer chassis designed to absorb vibration for a smoother ride feel.
  • Adjustable Toe Ramp: Allows better boot-to-binding fit and support through the front of the binding.
  • Large Axis Disk: Mounting disk with toe and heel centering built into the disk for easier stance setup.
  • 2x4, 4x4 and Channel Compatibility: Works with standard 2x4, 4x4 and Channel mounting systems.
  • Tip-to-Tail / Edge-to-Edge Adjustment: Disk system allows stance positioning adjustment lengthwise or laterally for a more dialled-in fit.

About Bent Metal Binding Works

Bent Metal Binding Works is a snowboard binding brand born out of Mervin Manufacturing, the company behind Lib Tech and GNU. Founded in the mid-2000s by engineers and lifelong snowboarders, Bent Metal was created with a singular focus on bindings as a performance-critical part of a snowboard setup, not an afterthought. Every product is designed and tested with real riding in mind, backed by decades of experience in snowboard manufacturing and culture.

Known for its no-nonsense approach, Bent Metal blends functional design with deep ties to core snowboarding through long-standing relationships with riders, artists, and Mervin’s competition heritage. The result is a binding line built to last, built to be ridden hard, and built by people who understand how snowboard equipment actually gets used on the hill.
