The 2027 K2 Excavator is built for riders who want to carve hard, float easily and make the most of softer days without moving to a full powder-only shape. Part of K2βs Landscape Collection, it uses a directional, volume-shifted outline with a wide platform, 20mm of taper and a shorter overall length, letting you size down while still keeping the float and stability of a larger board.
Underfoot, the Excavator is powerful without feeling overly demanding. Directional Camber gives it strong edge hold and drive through long turns, while the raised nose helps it plane cleanly through powder and chopped snow. K2βs S1 Core, ICGβ’ 10 Biax Carbon Glass and Carbon Power Forkβ’ add snap, response and energy out of the tail, while the Wax Infused Sintered 4001 Base keeps it moving fast when the snow opens up. It is a strong choice for riders who want one board for trenching groomers, charging through trees and chasing fresh snow after a storm.

Key Features
-
Shape β Directional Volume Shifted
A short, wide directional shape with 20mm of taper gives the Excavator strong float, quick turn initiation and powerful edge hold through groomers and powder. K2βs volume-shifted design means it is designed to be ridden 4β10cm shorter than your usual snowboard length. -
Profile β Directional Camber
Directional Camber runs from just in front of the front foot through to the tail, with early rise in the nose for float and smoother turn entry. This gives the Excavator strong drive, precision and control on groomers while keeping it capable in deeper snow. -
Flex β 6/10
A medium flex gives the Excavator a balanced ride feel, with enough response for carving and freeride lines while staying manageable for everyday all-mountain riding.

Tech Features
-
S1 Core
K2βs S1 Core uses bamboo, aspen and paulownia to balance strength, snap and reduced weight. Tip-to-tail bamboo stringers add dampening and durability, paulownia reduces swing weight, and angled aspen and bamboo underfoot improve edge-to-edge response and pressure distribution. -
ICGβ’ 10 Biax Carbon Glass
A biaxial fibreglass weave with carbon integrated into the layup, giving the Excavator a balanced mix of torsional flex, strength and response without making the board feel overly harsh. -
Carbon Power Forkβ’
A pre-cambered carbon inlay in the tail adds energy, rebound and pop, giving the Excavator more drive out of turns and stronger response when loaded through the back foot. -
Wax Infused Sintered 4001 Base
K2βs high-end sintered base material from Crown is built for speed, durability and longer wax retention, giving the Excavator strong glide when properly maintained. -
HybridTechβ’ Construction
K2βs HybridTech construction blends sidewall and cap construction to reduce swing weight, improve durability and create smoother edge transitions through the tip and tail. -
2x4 Inserts
A modern 2x4 insert pattern gives the Excavator fine stance adjustment and broad binding compatibility with standard and mini-disc bindings.
