The Arbor Astrowaste introduces a new chapter in Bryan Iguchi’s long-running exploration of snowboard design, carrying forward many of the ideas that made the Satori such a distinctive board in Arbor’s lineup. Built around a volume-shifted shape with a wider platform and shorter overall length, it challenges the idea that versatility has to come from chasing longer lengths and bigger boards. Rather than relying on size alone, the Astrowaste was designed around the pursuit of balance. Balance between precision and forgiveness, float and edge hold, stability and manoeuvrability. The result is a directional board that feels remarkably versatile without losing its identity, equally happy carving hardpack, weaving through trees, hunting side hits, or finding its way into deeper snow.
The magic of the Astrowaste comes from the way all of its design elements work together. Arbor’s new Dual Parabolic profile blends rocker and camber into a shape that feels intuitive from the first turn, creating quick edge-to-edge response without giving up the confidence and support strong riders expect. The wider platform naturally adds stability and float, while the subtle taper and setback help the board settle into turns and stay composed when terrain gets more challenging. Grip Tech and Fenders smooth out the experience even further, creating a ride that feels fluid and connected rather than technical or demanding. The 6–7 flex, Highland II core, and mixed glassing provide enough backbone to push hard when the opportunity presents itself, but the Astrowaste never feels like it needs to be wrestled into submission. It encourages creativity, rewards good riding, and has a knack for making every part of the mountain feel like the right place to be.
