2026 Lib Tech Orca Snowboard
A Mammal to Eat All Fish
The Orca is the ultimate weapon for powder slashes, tree runs, and all-mountain domination. Designed by Travis Rice (@travisrice), this directional volume-shifted board is built for float, stability, and high-speed precision. Meant to be ridden 3-6cm shorter than your standard board, its wider platform enhances maneuverability in tight terrain while still delivering power on big lines. This year’s Orca continues its legacy not only in performance but also in design, featuring artwork by Toby Grubb that captures the board’s bold and untamed nature.
The C2X Hybrid Camber Profile delivers aggressive camber underfoot for powerful response, while mild rocker between the feet enhances float and agility. Magne-Traction® serrated edges provide unreal grip on icy conditions, and the wider nose, set back 2 inches, keeps you effortlessly surfing through deep snow. Built with Lib Tech’s high-performance eco-friendly construction, the Orca is fast, durable, and ready to take on anything the mountain throws at it.
Travis Rice and Mervin Manufacturing will be donating a portion of the sale of every Orca snowboard to The Orca Conservancy in support of their efforts to prevent the extinction of the Salish Sea's Southern Resident Killer Whales.

Key Features
-
Shape – Directional Volume-Shifted
A wide, directional shape with a long floaty nose and powerful narrower tail gives the Orca strong powder float, quick turning and confident drive through resort terrain. Lib Tech recommends riding it 3–6cm shorter than your normal board, giving it the surface area of a bigger board with the quicker handling of a shorter one. -
Profile – Directional C2X
Directional C2X uses mild rocker between the feet with more aggressive camber underfoot, giving the Orca a mix of float, edge hold and powerful response. It feels loose enough to slash and pivot in soft snow, but still has the drive needed for carving and high-speed resort riding. -
Flex – 7/10
A medium-stiff flex gives the Orca enough support for fast riding, hard carves and bigger terrain, while still keeping it lively enough for powder slashes, natural hits and everyday resort laps.
Tech Features
-
Horsepower Construction + Sintered Base
Lib Tech’s HP construction keeps the Orca light, strong and responsive, while the sintered base gives it the speed and glide needed for powder, open groomers and all-mountain riding. -
HP Core
A lightweight aspen and paulownia wood core that balances strength, pop and reduced weight, helping the Orca feel lively underfoot without losing power or durability. -
Triax / Biax Glass with Basalt Alloy
A performance-focused glass and basalt layup that adds torsional strength, response and energy transfer, helping the board feel stable through fast turns and powerful when loaded. -
Sintered Base
A fast, durable base built for strong glide and wax retention, making it well suited to riders who want to carry speed through powder, flats and chopped resort snow. -
Magne-Traction®
Lib Tech’s serrated edge technology adds extra contact points along the sidecut, giving the Orca stronger grip and more confidence on hardpack, ice and scraped-out resort snow. -
Whale Tail Technology
A short, powerful tail shape that helps maximise contact and drive while allowing the long nose to float naturally in deeper snow. -
Eco Sublimated Topsheet
A lower-waste topsheet process that keeps the graphics durable while reducing the environmental impact of the finishing process.
