The Nidecker Alpha is the most versatile board in the Bio Series, designed for riders who want a surf-inspired freeride shape that still rips across the resort. Sitting beneath the more aggressive Alpha APX, this version keeps the same flowing directional outline and 3D shaping concept but dials the flex and construction to make it more accessible as an everyday board. Itβs built for riders who want smooth, surfy turns, easy float and a board that feels just as comfortable carving groomers as it does hunting for soft snow.
The Surfy CamRock profile blends camber between the feet with early rise in the nose to create a board that turns naturally and floats with very little effort. The directional shape and 3D nose shaping help the board plane quickly in soft snow and transition smoothly from edge to edge on groomers. A modest setback stance keeps your weight naturally over the tail, helping the board float in softer snow while maintaining a balanced feel when carving back down the groomers or riding switch. A mid-soft flex keeps the ride forgiving and playful, making the Alpha easy to control while still providing enough backbone to carve confidently when the pace picks up.

About The Brand
Nidecker is one of snowboardingβs oldest and most respected names, with roots in the Swiss Alps dating back to 1887. Originally a ski manufacturer, the company began producing snowboards in the early 1980s and quickly built a reputation for its engineering-focused approach to board design. Decades later the brand remains family owned and still based in Switzerland, combining deep manufacturing experience with a genuine connection to the culture of snowboarding.
Today Nidecker sits at the centre of one of the most influential groups in snowboarding, alongside brands like Jones, YES. and Rome. Their boards are designed around smooth turn initiation, dependable edge hold and a balanced feel on real mountain terrain. The result is equipment that feels intuitive from the first run and continues to reward riders as their skills progress. Nideckerβs focus has always been simple: build reliable, well-designed snowboards that help riders get more out of every day on the hill.
