Key Features
-
Shape – True Twin with UnderBite
A fully symmetrical twin shape gives the Basic the same feel riding regular or switch, making it a strong choice for freestyle progression and all-mountain riding. UnderBite adds extra edge control underfoot, giving the board more grip and confidence on firm snow without making it feel aggressive. -
Profile – CamRock 3-4-3
Camber between the feet gives the Basic reliable edge hold, pop and stability, while rocker in the nose and tail keeps it more forgiving and easier to turn. It is a practical profile for riders who want one board that can progress from groomers into freestyle. -
Flex – 6/10
A medium flex gives the Basic a good balance of support and forgiveness. It is stable enough for confident all-mountain riding, but still playful enough for presses, side hits and switch progression.
Tech Features
-
Fluid Core
YES’ poplar and paulownia wood core balances durability, response and weight. Poplar gives the board consistent strength and flex, while paulownia keeps it lighter and easier to manoeuvre. -
Biax Fibreglass
A two-direction fibreglass layup that gives the Basic a smooth, forgiving torsional flex. This helps make the board easier to control and more approachable for freestyle and all-mountain progression. -
Extruded Base
A durable, low-maintenance base that is easy to repair and simple to look after. It is a practical choice for riders who want reliable glide without needing constant waxing or tuning. -
Forever Flex
YES pre-breaks in the board at the factory to help stabilise the flex and rocker profile. This gives the Basic a more accurate flex from day one and helps it hold that feel for longer. -
UnderBite Edges
UnderBite pulls the sidecut in slightly near the bindings to redistribute pressure through the edge. This gives the Basic stronger grip and more carving control on firm snow while keeping the twin shape smooth and easy to ride.

About YES. Snowboards
Born in 2009 from the brains and boards of DCP, Romain de Marchi, and JP Solberg, YES. Snowboards has always done things its own way—no suits, no filters, just pure rider-driven design. With innovations like UnderBite, Tapered UnderBite, MidBite, and Directional Volume, they’ve reimagined how boards carve, float, and charge. Now rolling with the Helgason brothers and longtime friend JF Pelchat, YES. continues to blur the lines between freestyle chaos and all-mountain precision—building gear that rides loud, turns heads, and says no to boring.
