If your going to mount the Slash Aurora Snowboard, prepare for a battle of the ages to tame this ill-tempered and ravenous beast. Don't think twice about pointing this forward, once that's happened the Ultimate Traction grips into the pack and it's stiff flex beckons for the straightest line to the chair lift. It's Woodcore and Carbonbon layup provide an ultralight deck sporting a ton of strength and the Dual Camber profile completely redefines the user's understanding of camber. The subtle contact point in the middle surpasses the previous pitfall of camber - that feeling where you're board gains 100 lbs initiating a turn - and keeps you're turns responsive and consistent. For the most powerful man on the mountain with a controlled style that many would classify as insane, the Slash Aurora Snowboard is about to crank up your power from 0 to 100.

Dual CamberEasy and precise by preserving the traditional cambers far out contactpoints. This subtle Dual Camber profile comes in as a pivoting relief, making a board easier to turn.

Reactive FlexThe most advanced board technology available today! A composition of two unique fiberglass lay ups in combination with Slash's new lightweight wood cores that are specifically assembled and profiled by Slash engineers in Switzerland. Reactive flex gives the board the ability to also flex across the width. So, however you bend the board it will react in the best way possible. For example, if you jump on a park rail for a boardslide, the board's edges lift up, creating a convex base which minimizes your chance of catching an edge. The board edges flex downward, creating a concave base which makes your edge bite more into the turns. This is automated flex in 3D!

DirectionalMade for freeriding and powder days, this directional shape will make your board slice through anything and increase floatation.

Redline SidecutThe name is from the RPM of an engine. When the engine is running high its called; in the redlines of the speedometer. The idea is somehow to translate the riders behavior into the board. When pointing straight down the hill the rider is comitted to go fast by loading his front foot, needing stability from his board. Does the rider actively want to slow down, the weight moves onto the backfoot to control the steering.

Slick Tip ProfileBy reducing the wood and fiberglass in the nose and replacing it with a denser wood core, Slick Tip technology allows Slash to significantly lighten the board while increasing strength and durability. The Slick Tip also dampens vibrations and provides a unique, light feel in turn transitions due to its reduced thickness and profile.

Lightweight WoodcoreThis is the lightweight composition to Slash's wood cores, using light density Paulownia and light Poplar wood. Additionally Slash uses the sturdy Beech in the middle for inserts retention but also on the outside next to the sidewalls for better on- edge stability.

CarbonbonSlash's 100% Carbon reinforcements are the ultimate upgrade to the boards. Placed between the base and the core to enhance responsiveness, pop and stiffness without adding any weight.

Base 9900Racing-9900, the fastest and most dense sintered base on the market today. It also provides the most impact-resistant surface available. This performance base will allow you to lead the pack wherever you are headed. Its high-density molecular structure holds wax longer.

Diamond Stone FinishDiamond-structured stone grinding is the best possible base finish. The grinding occurs on two axes to maximize glide and to optimize the durability of the base. It eliminates the slow, suction feel that come with one dimensional base finishes. This is just an extra step Slash takes to ensure your board performs.

Die-Cut BaseBase color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.

Ultimate TractionA small counter radius (bump) placed in the middle of the board's sidecut. By positioning this bump instead of using a traditional sidecut, Slash has improved edge hold and center stability by not solely relying on the board's outside contact points. You will have more control of your board especially on ice, less fatigue turning the board and lots more fun!

Knock OutSlash used their CNC machine, operated by precisely programmed commands to make a counterbalanced 3D slant between the bindings. This refinement makes a woodcore lighter and the sidewall thinner. The riding gets more enjoyable where the most grip is needed.

OneBallJay WaxSLASH boards are ready to shred straight out of the shop and are factory waxed with OneBallJay wax.

There is so much that goes into what size board you need. The biggest misconception is that you buy a board based on if it comes to your chin, nose, eyebrows… something like that. Remember that when you are standing on your board, it has no idea how tall you are! As you initiate turns by bending the board, your body weight is a key factor as well as what kind of riding, where you are riding, foot size and lots of other factors that can influence what is right and what is no right. When you buy a board from us we will steer you in the right direction… remember we Guarantee It.
