I got a text this morning at about 6am from my friend, asking if I was keen for a sesh on the Cattlemans rail. I thought I was dreaming, or maybe he was just feeling a bit funny from the night before. I texted back 'Dude...i'm asleep.' which was an outright lie, as he'd woken me up from that dream I keep having about Jennifer Garner and Jessica Alba. I should have texted back 'Dude...I'm angry...real angry.'

Sure enough, that "Whirr Whirr' sound accompanied by beeps and another text.

'DUDE! CHECK THE SNOW CAMS'

By now I accepted that I wasn't getting back to sleep. He's persistant when he's excitable, so I crawled from my bed and checked Bullers snow cams...

IT'S SNOWING! WOO!!! 

Around 25cm at Buller, and more than 40cm at Falls!? It hasn't snowed like this since 1996, and the bereau of meterology are already talking it up to be a great season! Get your boards waxed, beanies ready, and make sure you've got some great outerwear ready to rock guys, cos if Ullr is this excited, it might be a long one!
